Hi Friend! Meet Shannon.
Shannon Denean is a writer, women’s empowerment speaker, community advocate, budding entrepreneur and the voice behind ShannonDenean.com – The Blog, a weekly blog that empowers women to keep pushing and get the most out of life. The Atlanta native currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Peachtree Papers, the quarterly publication of the Junior League of Atlanta. With a circulation of 7000 , Peachtree Papers strives to keep its finger on the pulse of both Metropolitan Atlanta and the nonprofit community. She is a proud member of Bulldawg Nation who graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism. She later continued her education at Walden University, graduating with a marketing-focused Masters of Business Administration.
When she’s not writing or wrangling her four year old son, Shannon is working hard to make the world a better place. She has served in many leadership capacities with the Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. and also serves as President of the Board of Directors for Sporty Girls, Inc. For the past 4 years, Shannon has been a committed volunteer with Wellspring Living for Girls, an organization provides a safe haven for survivors of sex trafficking. In 2017, Shannon won the title of Miss Georgia Plus America and has used her title to continue to bring awareness in the fight against sex trafficking.
Shannon and her husband Jorome, are the proud parents of KidWonderful, their rambunctious, lively, funny, bright, demanding, opinionated son. She’s also a proud mom of two wonderful bonus children. Check her out on ShannonDenean.com to follow a wild ride that’s often whimsical, but always real.
