In light of the recent events impacting our nation, what advice would you give to people in order to help them navigate the uncertainty?
Because people have different life experiences there is no one piece of advice that would be fitting for the masses. The one thing I lean towards in these uncertain times is prayer as a believer, and doing it on a more consistent basis while including my daily message on FB and texts to family, friends and front line colleagues.
Other general words of advice would be:
· Stay connected with loved ones via phone, Zoom or DUO
· Continue daily regimens as best as possible especially if working from home; shower, get dressed
· Meditate, exercise for the mental/physical health (You Tube)
· Take advantage of FREE Eventbrite events that are in-line with your interests
· Reinvent yourself by engaging your creative side
· Ensure you are NOT overindulging in anything unhealthy nor compromising to your immune system
· Implement a daily vitamin and other supplements you are lacking due to your dietary consumption

What is your personal mission in life?
My personal mission is to assist people on their trajectory for success, whatever success means to that individual and not the warped sense that society places on it.
What is one of the biggest challenges you have overcome?
Arriving at a place of self-discovery/solace while improving my self-esteem after being a victim of Teenage Pregnancy and then Domestic Violence within a short timespan (15-20 years of age).
What was one action that helped you overcome this challenge?
In dealing with DV, it was the action of my abuser that finally made me leave. He pulled a gun on me in the presence of my cousin, best friend and most importantly my daughter. In that very brief moment, I knew he was not changed, nor changing anytime soon, as the abuse wasn’t bad enough and then he pulls a gun!!! As a mother, my instinct was to protect my daughter and those in my midst ---that was the last day of being in the TOXIC relationship!
How do you define leadership?
Leadership is about being people driven. One who sets attainable goals for the team’s success which includes being an attentive listener and one who is not afraid of making decisions by any means necessary.
What advice would you give to someone that is ashamed to share their story?
I would encourage a person to share their story by telling them, “your testimony can be the saving grace for another human life. And not to be afraid of people talking because they will talk whether you’re doing good or bad!” Caveat – They talked about Jesus😊.
